Emaar Development, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties, has appointed Chris O’Donnell as its chief executive officer, the company announced on its website.
O’Donnell formerly worked for Nakheel as its chief executive during the 2008 financial crisis, leaving the company to take on the position of the president of Al Futtaim Real Estate Group.
The company has also made several other appointments, with Sunil Grover, formerly of Emaar Properties, taking up the position of chief financial officer.
John Carfi, former chief executive of residential development at Australian developer Mirvac, has joined the company as chief executive of development and projects.
Emaar Properties said last month that it has approved up to 30% of shares to be raised in an initial public offering, and that it is preparing to sell 20% of this stake.
The company announced the price range of the sale, going between AED5.7 to AED6.9, with an official notice setting out the final offer price to be issued soon.
