The 38th edition of The Big 5, gets bigger once again, with over 2,500 local and international exhibitors
The 38th edition of The Big 5 will come back at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 26 to 29 November, enabling professionals and decision makers to stay ahead with the latest trends and opportunities in the ever evolving regional construction market.
Josine Heijmans, exhibition portfolio director of The Big 5, says: “The event will offer construction industry professionals from around the globe an enhanced platform to do business, network, learn and source the most innovative products and solutions for their projects from over 2,500 local and international exhibitors.”
The Big 5 2017 will showcase 360-degree building solutions clustered in five product sectors: Building Interiors & Finishes, Building Envelope & Special Construction, Construction Tools & Building Materials, Construction Technology & Innovation, and MEP services, which will feature a new HVAC-R dedicated hall this year.
According to Heijmans, “The demand for HVAC applications is rising in the Region: in the Emirate of Dubai only, the value of project investments with HVAC applications in the early stages of construction has reached USD 59 billion. Boosted by government initiatives like the UAE Vision 2021, the Dubai 2021 Smart City Plan, and new green building specifications, energy efficient cooling technologies are gathering momentum. In order to meet this growing demand for smart, innovative and sustainable cooling solutions, and support the local construction market advancing industry best practices, The Big 5 is introducing a new dedicated HVAC-R hall this year. Not only it will host some of the industry’s major players from around the world: The Big 5’s CPD certified MEP Talks will focus an entire day on HVAC-related topics, with experts discussing the present and future of cooling and air conditioning solutions in the Region. An unmissable free-to-attend networking and learning opportunity.”
The Big 5 2017 will offer 72 world-class educational sessions, and The Big 5 Talks, delivered by renowned industry experts. Tailored to address the industry’s hottest topics, including the introduction of VAT in the GCC region and financial planning for the construction projects, the Talks will focus on six themes: MEP, Architecture, Sustainability, Business, Technology and Project Management. The sessions will be CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certified, and free to attend for all visitors.
