UAE approves development projects worth nearly $54m
The approved development initiatives include the implementation of a $49m project that would link Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital with the Federal Road Network
The Follow-up Committee of the Initiatives of the UAE President has approved projects worth nearly $54.5m (AED200m), it has been revealed.
The approved development initiatives include the implementation of a $49m (AED180m) project that would link Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital with the Federal Road Network.
The project is expected to streamline access to the hospital’s services, UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.
Projects that would meet the needs of people of determination, to be undertaken by the Ministry of Community Development, have also been approved. These projects include maintenance works and refurbishments to special needs rehabilitation centres in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Fujairah, and Dibba Al Fujairah, for a total cost of $2.9m (AED10.6m).
The Follow-up Committee also approved the renovation of Wadi Shaam in Ras Al Khaimah, a project that is valued at $408,385m (AED1.5m)
According to WAM, the endorsement of the projects were made in accordance with the directives of President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the orders of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and the follow-up of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
