Saudi-funded dialysis centre project in Bahrain now 63% complete

Construction works on a dialysis centre project currently under development at Hunainiya in Bahrain are now 63% complete.
Valued at $16.1m (BHD6.1m), the project is being funded by the Saudi Development Fund as part of the Gulf Development Programme, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
Reporting on the progress of the project, Raed Al Salah, assistant undersecretary for corporate municipal services at Bahrain’s Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, revealed that the concrete structure and the soil supporting wall, as well as the internal and external wall partitions of the main building have been completed.
The sub-power station has also been completed and handed over to the Electricity and Water Authority, while internal and external finishing works, in addition to electrical and mechanical activities, are underway.
Work is also ongoing on the services and facilities building and the perimeter wall, Al Salah added.
The project is expected to complete in June 2018.
