Dubai's 4.7ha Art of Living Mall to open in 2018
Completion of works for the facility is expected in Q1 2018, with its soft opening scheduled for July 2018, and official launch set for September
Art of Living Mall (Art Centre), a 4.7ha (510,000ft2) facility under construction in Dubai, will open next year.
The homeware and furniture hub is being developed by MMS Global.
Completion of works on the facility is expected in the first quarter of 2018, with its soft opening scheduled for 1 July, 2018.
September 2018 will mark the mall's official launch.
Up to 100 stores and 500 parking spaces are being developed within the mall, which is located on Dubai's Umm Suqeim Road.
Commenting on the project, Dr Samer Al-Omari, chief executive officer of MMS Global, said the facility is an offering that "does not exist" currently in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
"Art of Living Mall is not a typical mall as we designed and created it with the consultation of retail specialists to offer a creative ecosystem, which does not exist at the moment in the entire MENA region," he added, according to Arabian Business.
This October, it was revealed that Abanos would provide fit-out contracting services for the project.
Fit-out works for Art of Living Mall included the development of a contemporary organic ceiling and custom-made aluminium Mashrabiya screens.
Lacasa is the project's main consultant.
