Germany’s Ziehl-Abegg, a manufacturer of fans and products for lifts and other products, has increased its turnover faster than its forecast thanks to its energy-saving products.

“By the end of November we reached sales of half a billion euros”, said Peter Fenkl, the CEO of Ziehl-Abegg.

The company also develops, builds and sells fans and electric motors for lifts, medical technology applications, remotely operated underwater vehicles and electric buses.

The year 2017 will go into the Ziehl-Abegg books as a record year, after achieving sales of $570m (Eur484m) in 2016.

By the end of December this year, the company expects to post annual sales of around $634m (Eur530m), representing an increase of 10%.

This development, the company said, is being driven by modern, energy-saving products that are used in numerous fields.
