Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has completed the construction of a rehabilitation and care facility for people with special needs, it has been announced.

The Al Quaa Special Needs Rehabilitation and Care Centre project, valued at $6.5m (AED24m) and located in Al Ain, is now being handed over to Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO), UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.

Commenting on the project, Mohamed Omar Al Hashmi, buildings acting director of Musanada, said: "[The] project will form an important educational and training source, as it will serve an important segment of the community in Al Quaa City and the neighbouring areas who require special care and attention, allowing them to engage in the community and showcase their talents.”

Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman Al Jaberi, engineering affairs advisor at ZHO, added: "ZHO derives its vision from key social objectives as indicated in the Abu Dhabi Government’s agenda, which focusses on providing educational, rehabilitation, and therapeutic services to those with special needs, supporting them to become qualified and integrated members of the community, and enabling them to effectively and actively perform their roles toward their families and nation."
