Mott MacDonald has appointed Chris Seymour as managing director of its Middle East business.
His responsibility will involve expanding the consultancy’s operations across the region, with specific focus on energy, infrastructure, and the built environment.
In 2016, Seymour joined Mott MacDonald as development director for its Middle East and South Asia region from Arcadis.
Talking about the appointment, David Cox, Mott MacDonald’s regional managing director for Middle East and South Asia, said: “Chris has made a huge impact since he joined us a couple of years ago.
"He takes on this role at an exciting time of change and development in the Middle East, with many regional governments looking to honour their ambitious infrastructure commitments.
"To fund this there is continued focus and appetite for PPP in the region, as well as spending commitments being made by some governments on the back of better oil revenues in the second half of 2017. With Chris’ broad experience and leadership, we’re looking forward to working closely with our clients in the Middle East to help them realise their ambitions.”
Seymour has nearly 30 years’ experience in project and programme management, public private partnership (PPP) technical advice, project finance, procurement and risk management.
