The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Authority has signed an agreement to carry out restoration activities at the College of Oil and Minerals in Shabwah, Yemen.

Under the terms of the agreement, ERC will be constructing and restoring the lecture halls of the college.

The project is part of series of infrastructure developments that ERC is implementing in the area and comes within the framework of the UAE Red Crescent to support the education sector in the governorate, UAE state news agency, WAM, reported.

Mohammed Saif Al Muhairi, head of the ERC team in Shabwa, said that the organisation has met with authorities in Yemen to discuss studies on infrastructure projects for different sectors. The most important projects identified were those in the education and health sectors, Al Muhairi revealed.
