More than 5,000 visitors who attended last week’s HVACR Expo Saudi and the co-located FM Expo Saudi & Saudi Clean Expo in Jeddah marked an 18% increase in attendance when compared to the previous year’s edition.

The organisers, dmg events Middle East, Asia & Africa, said that next year’s edition of the co-located tradeshows will be held in country’s capital, Riyadh.

“A spike in the turnout of visitors to this year’s expos are a clear indicator that growing HVAC-R and facilities management (FM) sectors in Saudi demand a dedicated platform where industry professionals can network, do business and discover new technologies,” said Roni El Haddad, event director of HACR Expo Saudi.

Mohamed R. Zackariah, CPD speaker at last week’s event and chief consultant at Suhaimi Design - Protecooling said: “Industry professionals whether product suppliers, engineers, or FM professionals must brace themselves to deliver high quality output to sustain and grow in the market.”

The market for HVAC-R systems in Saudi Arabia was estimated to reach $3.33bn in 2017, and is expected to double to $6.36bn by 2022 at a CAGR of around 13%, according to TechSci Research.

Next year’s event will be held at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre from 14-16 January 2019.
