Spearheaded by lead consultant VX and architects A++, construction on the $600m (AED2.2m) gated, landscaped community is on track, spanning nearly 83,500m2 and covering 550 metres of the Dubai Creek waterfront.
Infrastructure works at the project are now complete with the next phase comprising of backfilling, compacting, trench excavation, and laying uPVC and GRP pipes for the drainage system.
The development is expected to be delivered in June 2020 with Phase 1 completing in August 2019. The project is being built in two phases.
Talal Moafaq Al Gaddah, CEO of MAG LD, said: “We are pleased to be making strong progress at MAG Creek Wellbeing Resort, where we are putting our ‘lifestyle development’ philosophy into action with a project that is geared toward enhancing human lives.”
MAG Creek includes a 11,148m2 WorldCare Wellness, making it the largest wellness centre in the world. It will offer health-conscientious residents and guests full access to a medical check-up clinic.
The community also features a 96-room WorldCare Wellness Hotel, a sports, fitness and leisure centre, and a wide variety of restaurants, cafés and retail outlets.
Announced in December 2016, the project is being built in partnership with US-based wellness real estate and technology firm Delos.
The partnership also marked the official introduction of Delos’ science-based wellness technologies and solutions into the single family home market in the Middle East.
