The interiors and fit-out works for The Avenues – Bahrain's Vox Cinemas outlet have been completed.

Havelock AHI, an interior contractor and manufacturer, completed the project in 150 days.

Spanning a space of almost 5,000m2, the shell-and-core space was worked on by Havelock AHI through a contract it was awarded by Majid Al Futtaim in June 2017.

The fast-track project employed an average of 250 daily workers, with peak workforce numbers reaching 750.

Havelock AHI’s scope included all tasks related to civil and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contracting, low-voltage works, fire detection and suppression, access control, and theatre management systems.

Final finishes, including marble, tiling, joinery, wallpaper, and carpets were also delivered by Havelock AHI.

The fit-out scope included all joinery items such as doors, vomitory walls, reception, ticket and concession counters, ticket tear podiums, the juice bar, wall panels and mirrored walls, toilet cubicles and vanity counters, as well as mirrors and sanitary ware, marble cladding, and solid surface (Corian) works.

Vox Cinemas at The Avenues – Bahrain, a new waterfront shopping centre in Bahrain Bay, features two floors, including a ticket and concession area on the ground floor, with escalators and elevators leading to the first-floor lobby.

The first floor features additional concession counters and access to the auditoria, including the mega-screen experience Max, and six 2D and 3D screens with VIP seating.

The facility also includes food and beverage (F&B) outlet, Theatre by Rhodes, as well as a separate F&B floor that consists of kitchens, a juice bar, and a restaurant with a seating area.

Commenting on the project, Syed Kashif Akhtar, group managing director of Havelock AHI, said: "We are happy to showcase yet again that we have the capability, capacity, and skilled multi-trade workforce to provide interior solutions catering to and exceeding expectations.

"Our clients entrust us with their most challenging and prestigious projects as they know the quality we provide and our ability to deliver on time."

Havelock AHI's UAE tema is currently working on the 15-screen Vox Cinemas project at Nakheel Mall on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah, scheduled to open in spring 2018.
