Legal giant KWM expands Middle East dispute resolution team

Hong Kong-headquartered legal giant, King & Wood Mallesons, (KWM) has promoted Daniel Xu as a partner within its dispute resolution team in Dubai.

Xu – who was one of the judges of the Construction Week Awards 2017 – focusses on international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution in the construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors.

He has also been an advisor to contractors and developers on topics such as risk management and dispute avoidance. 

KWM said Xu's clients include governments, state-owned entities, Fortune 500 companies, and notable corporations across the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets.

Commenting on Xu's appointment, Tim Taylor QC, partner at KWM, said: "We are thrilled to expand the team’s capacity in line with the growing market.

"Having lived in the Middle East for almost 10 years, Daniel is very familiar with the culture and market conditions of this region.
