Development work on two of the malls entertainment centerpieces – the 4,180m² VOX Cinemas and Fabyland – have made good progress, with a handover expected in two months.

Around 80% of Cityland Mall’s structural work is done too. The rest is set to be completed by May.

MEP work is underway and project managers hope to kick-start work on the building’s façade soon.

Fahimuddin Sharfuddin, CEO of Cityland Group, said: “With consistent progress on both the construction and leasing side, we look forward to launching Cityland Mall to the public during the fourth quarter of this year and add a unique dimension in terms of retail to the UAE market.

“We have received strong interest from retailers and we are working to conclude the leasing activities by adding an additional 30% of leased retail space by year-end. We anticipate the balance of the retail area to be fully committed by end of Q1 2019.”

Ciytland Mall’s food and beverage court will feature around 20 dining options. A further 22 casual eating options will be available in its Central Park, some of which will have rooftop terraces.

Miracle Garden Landscaping has secured a contract for the management of Central Park’s flora and fauna.

Earlier this week, Dubai’s Al Shirawi Interiors was awarded the fit-out contract for Cityland Mall. Work will cover fitting out over 40,000m² space including entrances, pavilions, the Carrefour hypermarket, and public lavatories.
