UAE-based aluminium extrusion company, OSE Industries, has announced plans to raise the annual production capacity of its 10,000m2 plant in Dubai Industrial Park (DIP).

In a statement, the company said that it aims to increase its current capacity of 9,072 tonnes (10,000 tons) by 4,536 tonnes (5,000 tons) by the end of the year.

According to the company, it intends to expand its business in the automotive sector.

Its automotive division, which presently contributes to 65% of the company’s business, recently received a boost when OSE Industries became the first aluminium extrusion company in the MENA region to be awarded the IATF 16949:2016 certification.

One of the automotive industry's most widely used international standards for quality management, IATF 16949:2016, is a mandatory certification in the global automotive supply chain, OSE Industries added.

Magdy Samoul, chief executive officer of OSE Industries, said: “We are proud to be the first company in the region to have achieved the IATF 16949:2016 certification, which is an acknowledgement of our expertise in manufacturing aluminium multiport extruded (MPE) tubes and profiles for the automotive sector.”
