CW Oman Awards 2018: Solar project wins sustainability honours
T2o Engineers was awarded top honours for its zero-emission, fully solar project at the CW Oman Awards 2018 in Muscat
T2o Engineers’ Outward Bound Desert Centre was named Construction Week Oman Awards 2018’s Sustainability Initiative of the Year.
The gala awards ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt Muscat hotel on Monday, 12 March, 2018.
T2o Engineers was awarded top honours for its zero-emission, fully solar project.
Photovoltaic cells installed as part of the project generate sufficient energy to cater to the 24-hour demands of the centre through a battery storage bank.
Lalbuksh Voltas Engineering’s Million Date Palm Plantation Project was this year’s Highly Commended Sustainability Initiative of the Year.
Other finalists in this category included Consolidated Contractors Company’s Go Green 100% off-grid Mobile Cabin, and Sohar Steel’s Sustainable Constructional Steel Certification (SCS) Scheme.
