Dubai-based developer Omniyat has awarded a construction contract for its recently launched Dorchester Collection project in Dubai.

The contract was awarded to a joint venture between Roberts Constructions and Italian construction firm Impresa Pizzarotti & C. to deliver The Private Residences by Dorchester Collection, a five-star hotel and luxury residential building located on the Dubai Canal.

Work on the site has already begun and the project is due for completion in 2020.

The development will include two towers, food and beverage retail options, and a surrounding mixed-use precinct within Marasi Business Bay.

Mark Phoenix, managing director at Omniyat, said: “We always select the best partners that help us execute our vision. I have no doubt that this joint venture will yield immaculate results.”

The news follows a black-tie event Omniyat held last week to celebrate its partnership with Dorchester Collection where it unveiled the first project images.

Designed by architectural firm Foster + Partners, the site marks Dorchester Collection’s first hotel and residences in the region.

“We are also honoured to deliver this project for such an esteemed brand as Dorchester Collection” added Graeme Robson, chief executive, Roberts Constructions.

Omniyat has also partnered with The Dorchester to manage the One Palm residential project on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, which is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018.
