Abu Dhabi issues 210 temporary construction violation notices
ADM issued 210 violation notices in the emirate's Al Faya Industrial Area for various offences, including illegal dumping of construction waste
Construction firms and contractors have been issued 210 violations for failing to comply with building regulations in Abu Dhabi.
The Al Wathba Municipal Centre of the Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) launched an inspection of the Al Faya Industrial Area to assess temporary construction sites, reduce debris, and remind owners of their legal responsibilities under building laws.
During the visit to Al Faya Industrial Area, east of Abu Dhabi city, municipal inspectors issued 210 violations to construction companies and contractors for a host of offences. These included unsafe material loading, illegal dumping of construction waste, failure to vacate the construction site within the specified period, among others.
Al Wathba Municipal Centre has now called on construction site operators and their respective workforce to help support efforts to keep construction sites clean and tidy, as well maintain high standards of safety and security on construction sites.
This crackdown on construction violations is part of ADM's campaign against waste on construction sites, which was launched in August 2017.
Meanwhile, ADM recently launched an initiative to clamp down on housing violations in six Abu Dhabi neighbourhoods – Bani Yas Sharq, Shawamekh, Wathba South, Bani Yas West, New Wathba Shamkha, and Wathba North.
