Expansion activities at City Centre Sharjah are almost complete, with a number of new retail and dining outlets already open.

According to Majid Al Futtaim, the mall expansion project, valued at $70.8m (AED260m), has increased the size of the property from a gross leasable area of 37,728m2 to 51,428m2.

The mall has also undergone an entire interior and exterior facelift as part of the revamp, the owner-operator said in a statement.

Moreover, the mall’s entrance has been redesigned to allow natural light in, while the number of parking spaces at its parking facility has went up to 1,426 from 700.

As the expansion project draws closer to its conclusion, Majid Al Futtaim noted that shoppers can look forward to the addition of more homeware stores and entertainment options, including Sharjah’s first 12-screen VOX Cinemas, scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2018.
