Video: Sharjah Waterfront City Phase 1 villas to be delivered in June 2019

The contractor's scope covers the construction of 295 G+2 precast villas and “the complete facelift of the façades” of 26 existing villas

Construction works on the residential component of Sharjah Waterfront City Phase 1 are on track to be completed by June 2019, Tech Group subsidiary Tech Construction, the project’s main contractor, has revealed.

Tech Construction was awarded the contract, valued at more than $81.7m (AED300m), in August 2017.

Its scope covers the construction of 295 G+2 precast villas and “the complete facelift of the façades” of 26 existing villas, according to Shiraz Hasan, group chief executive officer of Tech Group.

A mixed-use, master-planned community with an estimated development cost of $6.8bn (AED25bn), Sharjah Waterfront City comprises eight islands, including Sun Island, the site of the villas currently being built by Tech Construction.
