With the Expo 2020 Dubai's and Saudi Vision 2030's targets approaching, construction activity is picking up pace in the Middle East.
As a result, recruitment activity is also on a high across the region.

1. Reporting engineer
Wood Group is currently looking to recruit a reporting engineer for the Duqm Refinery project.
The engineer will be based in Muscat Oman for approximately 15 months, and then transfer to Duqm site for a period of 27 months.
At least three years of experience in a similar role is required.
2. Project manager – high-rise buildings
Arabian Contractor Company (ACC) is seeking a project manager to work on its high-rise building schemes.
The manager will plan, monitor, coordinate, and control of project mobilisation activities as per approved schedules.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for approving necessary permits from local authorities.
3. Rail systems manager
The pipeline and opportunities for strategic and major projects in the UAE for Atkins's Transport & Infrastructure (T&I) division are significant.
An opportunity exists for a driven, ambitious, and self-motivated person to take a critical role in growing Atkins T&I Rail Business across Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Saudi Arabian clients of T&I to win work in the region's rail sector.
4. Design manager
AW Rostamani is seeking a design manager to join its business in Dubai, UAE.
The manager will be responsible for controlling all project timings, records, and drawing protocols.
They will also be tasked with the preparation of drawing packages, requirements, timings, and issuances for the hospitality, commercial, and retail industries.
5. Warehouse manager
El Seif is seeking a warehouse manager, whose main responsibility will be to ensure the cost-effective and timely receipt, storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods by the assigned facility.
The successful candidate will report to and support the central warehouse's unit head in all departmental matters.
They will also coordinate with the procurement and logistics units for the transport goods to warehouse.
6. Lead contracts engineer
Amec Foster Wheeler is currently recruiting for a lead contracts engineer as a member of its project management consultancy (PMC) team based in Kuwait.
The candidate will be responsible for construction and completions delivery of KNPC’s Fifth Gas Train Project.
A minimum of six years’ experience in the oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical industries is required.
7. Building architect / urban designer
Parsons' successful candidate will independently perform a wide variety of conventional and moderately-complex architectural assignments by applying architectural design standards, practices, and techniques.
The incumbent at this level regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in developing original designs, is proficient in the utilisation of standard architectural techniques, and is thoroughly familiar with company procedures.
8. Safety engineer
Wood Group is currently seeking to recruit a competent safety engineer for its Kuwait office.
The candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas, and petrochemical industries, and will be qualified to advise and enforce site construction activities with regard to safety management.
The successful candidate will also work in shifts on the Al-Zour Refinery Project.
9. Associate – fire and life safety
Aurecon needs a fire and life safety (FLS) associate to join its Dubai team on a full-time basis.
The associate FLS professional will ensure that health and safety is embedded into all work practices, in line with company policies.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be fully conversant in the use of UAE fire codes, in addition to the NFPA, IBC, and British standard and performance-based design codes.
10. Landscape architect
Blake Anderson is seeking a landscape architect for one of its clients.
