Around 45,000m² of gross leasable land will have been added to the Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain when the renovated site opens for business in Q4 2018.

The extension has made room for 1,200 extra car parking spaces – double its former capacity. Additionally, 88 shops, Al Ain’s first eight-screen Vox Cinema complex, and Abu Dhabi’s first outdoor retail park concept have been added to the mall.

The retail park, adjacent to Al Jimi Mall, consists of leasable box spaces available in sizes between 1,500m² and 6,500m².

Director of retail asset management at Aldar Properties, Brad Merchant, said the renovation of Al Jimi Mall demonstrated the developer’s commitment to the community.

"Al Ain is a key growth area for Aldar’s retail portfolio as it evolves to become a cultural and community hub," he said.

"Through the combination of the innovative Retail Park, plus 88 new entertainment, retail, and food and beverage (F&B) tenants, we promise to offer Al Ain residents and tourists a unique and memorable shopping and leisure experience."
