Punj Lloyd wins EPC job in Qatar

One of India’s largest engineering and construction firms has bagged an EPC order from Qatar Petroleum worth US $181 million (QR658 million)

One of India�s largest engineering and construction firms has bagged an EPC order from Qatar Petroleum worth US $181 million (QR658 million).

Punj Lloyd�s scope of work includes the laying of a 97.2km pipeline and bi-directional and multi-product pipelines, three new stations, six modification stations, decommissioning of the existing pipeline and demolition of nine existing stations.

“Punj Lloyd has a very strong presence in the Middle East, particularly in the civil pipeline and process plants segment. With this order we will further strengthen our foothold in the Middle East,� said Atul Punj, chairman, Punj Lloyd.

 

The company has acquired a majority stake in SembCorp Engineers & Contractors and recently entered into a joint venture with ground handling firm, Swissport International.
