Delays spanning less than a month have recorded a 12% drop between 2012 and 2018, and PwC Middle East's Capital Projects and Infrastructure Survey revealed that the situation appears to be improving.

Project director – buildings
Ramboll is looking for a project director to join its team in Dubai.
The project director is expected to act as a role model and implement strong processes, professional governance, a high performance culture, and a commitment to delivering excellence for clients.
Additionally, they will take responsibility for Category A and B projects, as well as highly complex or large-value contracts.
Principal electrical engineer – infrastructure
Parsons Corporation is looking for an electrical engineer to join its infrastructure team in Jazan, Saudi Arabia.
The candidate may be required to plan, direct, or supervise technical work in special areas.
They will also provide technical input to proposals and studies, and may be required to serve on committees or panels for technical planning.
Forensic planner / delay analyst
Arabian Construction Company (ACC) is hiring a forensic planner and delay analyst in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing the impact of extensions on complex change requests and claims.
Where necessary, they will also prepare forensic planning and delay/disruption analyses to determine the cause and effect of specifics.
El Seif is looking for a factory manager in Saudi Arabia.
The factory manager will be responsible for establishing and implementing systems and procedures for the company's precast factory.

Senior engineer – airport pavements
Mott MacDonald is currently looking to recruit an airport pavements engineer to support the design and supervision of the construction/rehabilitation of an airport's runway pavement.
Their key duties will include the review of design and reports related to runway, taxiway, aprons, and airside/landside roads, and associated infrastructure.
Inspection of the asphalt and concrete work for roads and structures will also be their responsibility.
El Seif is hiring a project director in Riyadh, who will direct a specified project by developing adequate work systems and procedures to ensure efficient project implementation.
They will also bear the responsibility for the delivery, profitability, and quality of the project's outcome by overseeing and managing all policies and procedures related to the project's operations.
Additionally, the project director will assist in the preparation of the project budget; the approval of subcontractors, tenders, purchase orders, and materials submittal; and control payments to subcontractors.
Wood Group is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) for a corrosion engineer.
Currently based in the UAE, the engineer will report to the integrity manager of the asset integrity solutions service line.
The corrosion engineer is expected to work on corrosion management plans for pipelines – preferably with Saudi Aramco experience – and carry out qualitative and quantitative corrosion risk assessment.
Alghanim International is hiring an engineering manager, whose responsibility will be to enhance processes and procedures in engineering functions.

Principal mechanical engineer
Parsons is hiring a principal mechanical engineer to join its team in Jazan, Saudi Arabia.
The candidate will be responsible for the provision of professional engineering discipline support to the programme's projects.
The engineer will particularly emphasise on promoting and maintaining the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project's designs, in the primary areas of desalination plant mechanical systems.
Secondary emphasis on is required on heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC), as well as plumbing and fire protection processes.
