Legal services provided for 1ha Muscat Hills homes in Oman
Dentons advised Aflaj on both the establishment of the project company and the related joint venture agreement
Legal advisory services have been delivered for a 1.1ha residential development under way in Oman.
Aflaj International, a Muscat-based developer, is building the homes within Muscat Hills, an integrated tourism complex in the sultanate.
Dentons has advised Aflaj on its role in the project.
Aflaj is a shareholder of Maysan Properties, a company that was established earlier this year to carry out the development.
In a statement, Dentons said it advised Aflaj on both the establishment of the project company and the related joint venture agreement.
Recently, Dentons also provided legal counsel to a syndicate of regional banks led by Mashreqbank on the Islamic financing of the proposed $272m (AED1bn) acquisition of equipment rental company Byrne Group.
Saudi-owned Itqan Investments, with Tamar VPower Energy Fund, a vehicle jointly managed by Hong Kong-based power company VPower Group International, and China-based CITIC Pacific, acquired the entire issued share capital of Byrne Equipment Rental and its subsidiaries.
