MEP unit of UAE's Arabtec records 25 million LTI-free man-hours

UAE-headquartered MEP firm, Emirates Falcon Engineering Company (EFECO), has achieved 25 million working hours without a lost-time incident (LTI).
The Arabtec Holding subsidiary said in a statement that it celebrated the health, safety, and environment (HSE) milestone in a ceremony held this month.
Commenting on the company’s achievement, EFECO managing director, Gavin Appleby, said: “This milestone demonstrates our dedication and unwavering commitment to health and safety.
“Such an achievement reflects the successful outcomes of our robust risk management approach which puts health and safety at the forefront of our operations. Combining these tools with the dedication of each of our employees and contractors enables us to empower our team to deliver operational excellence with the highest standards.”
According to the company, the key drivers of its strategy going forward include reducing its accident frequency and lost time injury frequency rates. It also aims to “increase overall customer satisfaction and reduce the environmental impact of its operations”.
EFECO revealed that as part of its yearly review, its senior management team will evaluate its QSHE policy, performance, and compliance to ensure that it is in accordance with regional and international best practices.
EFECO’s portfolio of completed projects includes DIFC Gate Village, Palazzo Versace, Conrad Hotel, Dubai T2 Airport Extension, and Nation Towers in Abu Dhabi.
