Expo 2020 Dubai is increasing construction activity in the UAE, as a result of which, the country's jobs market is also getting busier.

Numerous high-profile projects were also launched across the country last week – such as the $107m Shindagha Bridge in Dubai – further brightening the prospects for construction professionals in the country.

Principal project manager
UAE

Atkins Global is looking to recruit a nuclear-experienced project manager to work on complex organisational and technical projects from its Abu Dhabi office.

The appointed manager will be responsible for standard delivery expectations such as reporting, safety leadership, risk management, schedule oversight, and client management.

Eight years of professional experience is required for the job, of which at least one year must have been spent on nuclear projects.

Project architect
UAE

Gensler requires a project architect to join its team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The appointed architect will manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants.

A minimum of six years’ project experience in an architectural practice is required for the role.

CADD operator – pipeline
Saudi Arabia

Wood Group requires a computer automated design and drafting (CADD) Saudi national operator to join its team in Al Khobar.

The candidate must have experience in the hydrocarbon processing/utilities units, the oil/gas industry or refinery project/process industries, in addition to drafting experience in piping/ pipeline projects.

At least four years’ experience is required for the role.

Project engineer
UAE

Koa Real Estate Development is looking for an experienced project engineer to lead and manage the site team and ensure that all parties involved have a clear understanding of the contract and the applicable obligations.

The engineer will be required to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment to plan and coordinate all aspects of the building process from hiring contractors to working with engineers, architects, and vendors.

Between 10 and 12 years of construction management experience, as well as a civil engineering degree or an equivalent training record, are required for the role.

Electrical engineer
Kuwait

Mott MacDonald needs an electrical engineer to join its team in Kuwait.

The candidate will be responsible for all electrical elements on a major airport expansion and rehabilitation.

The electrical engineer must have a degree (BEng/BSc) in electrical engineering, and will preferably also hold Chartered status, or be working towards it.

Construction manager / desalination plant resident engineer
UAE

HDR requires a construction manager to take responsibility for subcontractor coordination, scheduling and quality control, and develop procedures for executing such activities, in addition to implementing procedures in coordination with the project team.

The manager will also be responsible for project setup and temporary facilities.

More than 10 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including estimating, bidding, preparing and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, and cost control, is required for the role.

Façade designer
UAE

UAE-headquartered consultancy, AESG, is looking for a façade designer to join its team in Dubai.

The candidate will be responsible for producing CAD details of façade and BMU systems, based on architectural sketches.

They will also be required to working within a team to produce concept, detailed, and tender packages.

Reporting engineer
Oman

Wood Group is currently looking to recruit a reporting engineer for the Duqm Refinery project.

The engineer will be based in Muscat Oman for approximately 15 months, and then transfer to Duqm site for a period of 27 months.

Digital transformation lead
UAE

CH2M is looking for a regional digital transformation lead to work out of its Dubai offices.

The job role requires an individual with a varied range of technical skills and business acumen to support and deliver transformation in the areas of building information modelling (BIM), geographic information systems (GIS), and information management.  

Professional qualifications in design, engineering, or construction fields, with at least 10 years of industry experience, are required for the role.

Infrastructure engineer
Kuwait

Mott MacDonald is hiring an infrastructure engineer to join its team in Kuwait.
