Bahrain-based Investcorp has made $286m worth of investments in four US residential apartment complexes and a student housing facility, the company said on Monday.

The communities include a 660-unit property in Atlanta, a 408-unit property in Chicago, and two properties with a total of 505 units in Dallas, according to Arabian Business.

The over 800-room student housing property is located in Orlando.

The company has also made investments in four industrial portfolios, comprising nearly 251,000m2 and more than 40 buildings for a price of about $206m.

The four portfolios comprise nine buildings totaling 51,300m2 in Phoenix, Arizona, 11 buildings totalling 77,406m2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, seven buildings totalling 40,878m2 in Austin, Texas and 15 buildings totalling 81,471m2 in Chicago.

 

Investcorp Co-CEO Mohammed Al Shroogi, said: “These investments are a continuation of our real estate investment strategy and our commitment to growing our U.S. real estate portfolio.”
