Is construction the liberal arts degree of the 21st century? The dean of engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) thinks so

Is construction the liberal arts degree of the 21st century? The dean of engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) thinks so.

Dr Richard T Schoephoerster, professor and dean of engineering at the UAE's AUS, tells Construction Week how the right educational degree can help to develop tomorrow's construction leaders.

Schoephoerster also sheds light on how the right soft skills, such as working with large and diverse teams, for example, can help to develop construction leaders in the UAE.

The Education Series is a collection of three video interviews with Schoephoerster, who outlines AUS's work in the construction education sector as it completes 20 years in the UAE, as well as the renowned institution's future plans.
