Musanada launches Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects worth $123m

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) is undertaking two projects in the Al Rahba city in Abu Dhabi at an estimated cost of $123m (AED452m)

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) is undertaking two projects in the Al Rahba city in Abu Dhabi at an estimated cost of $123m (AED452m).

The first project will serve 519 residential land plots and will include a scope of work covering the construction of internal roads and infrastructure of Al Rahba city.

The second project will be built at a cost of $79m (AED292m), and will serve 671 residential plots. Works on the project include internal roads, rainwater, drainage and drinking water networks, the extension of power cables, 36 power substations, sewage network including a main drainage line, and a sewage station.

Construction for the second project is expected to be completed in June 2018, while the first will be delivered this year.

The two projects are part of the strategic plans of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities aimed at improving the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi city and suburban areas.

The plans are focused on cities experiencing rising growth rates and are in line with Abu Dhabi Government’s vision for enhancing the sustainability in the construction of modern infrastructure to ensure their compliance with the highest international standards.
