An investigation is under way to study the cause of a fire that broke out at a Kuwait military base.

Firefighters tackled the blaze in a housing unit at a military base in Julai'a, southern Kuwait, the state-run Kuwait News Agency (KNA) said.

The fire is believed to have started on 12 June, and an investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.

The housing unit is being used by workers building an ammunition depot at the military base. Details of the workers' project were not disclosed.
