Driven by master-planned developments such as Expo 2020 Dubai, and long-term diversification mandates like Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, the UAE is one of the Gulf's busiest construction markets in 2018. 

Private sector-backed developments are also helping to raise the level of construction activity in the country, and numerous developers have announced plans to award key construction contracts this year.

Construction manager – MEP
Abu Dhabi

Louis Berger is currently looking to hire a construction manager specialised in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP). 

The candidate will be fully responsible for managing and implementing the MEP aspects of Abu Dhabi’s Zayed National Museum.

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, and 15 years of work experience, is required for the job.

Graduate engineering geologist
Dubai

Atkins Global requires a graduate engineering geologist / geotechnical engineer to join its team in Dubai.

The candidate will perform tasks assigned independently with minimum guidance from the seniors in the discipline, and be proficient in site investigation data manipulation, interpretation and evaluation of geohazards and risks.

Engineering geologists applying for the rule must hold a bachelor’s degree in geology from a recognised institute, and a masters in engineering geology, or an equivalent.

Geotechnical engineering applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and an MSc in geotechnical engineering.

Enterprise data architect
Dubai

Al Tayer Group is looking for an enterprise data architect to lead a small team of professionals setting the data architecture strategy and vision, and for managing the day-to-day tactical operations of the business intelligence (BI) team.

The candidate will report to the vice president for applications development at Al Tayer Group.

A graduate or post-graduate degree in information technology or computer science engineering is a must, in addition to eight to 12 years’ work experience in data architecture and BI.

Assistant procurement manager
Dubai

Facilities management company, Emrill, is hiring an assistant procurement manager in Dubai. 

The manager will analyse and manage spend across all business categories for Emrill.

They will also be required to identify a yearly tender calendar, with priority given to high spend / high risk areas, as well as build potential supplier relationships through their market knowledge and requests for information.

Site project director
Dubai

Aurecon requires a site project director to join its team in Dubai.

The candidate will lead and project manage the successful delivery of complex, large-scale, and high-quality multi-disciplinary schemes.

They will also be responsible for the leadership and support of their team across multiple locations in multiple countries.

Principal project manager
Abu Dhabi

Atkins Global is looking to recruit a nuclear-experienced project manager to work on complex organisational and technical projects from its Abu Dhabi office.

The appointed manager will be responsible for standard delivery expectations such as reporting, safety leadership, risk management, schedule oversight, and client management.

Senior engineer – production
Dubai

AW Rostamani requires a senior engineer to join its team in Dubai.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing products based on customer specifications or requests by the sales department.

Electrical engineer
Dubai

Khansaheb requires an electrical engineer to join its team in Dubai.

The candidate will be responsible for the accurate planning of his package and for assuring that the job taken up complies dimensionally and technically with the drawings and specifications.

Retail quantity surveyor
Abu Dhabi

Faithful+Gould needs a number of experienced quantity surveyors to join its team on retail projects in Abu Dhabi. 

The quantity surveyor will handle onsite and offsite quantity verifications and confirmation with regard to payments and variations.

Dubai

CH2M is looking for a regional digital transformation lead to work out of its Dubai offices.

The job role requires an individual with a varied range of technical skills and business acumen to support and deliver transformation in the areas of building information modelling (BIM), geographic information systems (GIS), and information management.
