Cofely Besix FM appoints new head of airports division

Steven Zehr has been appointed the new head of the airports division for Cofely Besix Facility Management (CBFM).

In his new role, Zehr will be responsible for managing and developing airport and aviation solutions across the MENA region.

He has more than 25 years of specialised aviation experience managing and planning some of the most critical airport operations globally.   

His career started in airport operations at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and he has since worked in various countries in the areas of operations, commercial, planning and development and overall airport management. 

Zehr’s experience in airport operations and facilities management experience in the Middle East spans over 20 years.

He has worked on the opening of King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh, as well as the opening of T3 and the second runway at Abu Dhabi Int’l Airport.

In addition to the Middle East, Zehr also worked for various multi-national companies such as ADC & HAS Airports worldwide, as well as MDC Business Management in the UAE, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Zehr said: “Initially my focus is optimising current operations and expanding CBFM’s airport services’ presence throughout the region, as well as raising the standards of the facilities and airport systems management in aviation.

“It is important to continually strengthen our business operations by leveraging our international group capabilities and strengthening our current client relationships and operations by applying operational excellence and innovation.”
