Details of the disruptive technology at Dubai's high-tech Silicon Park have been revealed.
The $353.9m (AED1.9m) smart city project in Dubai Silicon Oasis will be at forefront of UAE efforts to become an artificial technology (AI) leader. And the wider Dubai Silicon Oasis free zone zone will also feature a start-up incubator to accelerate how the Internet of Things (IoT), sensor technology, big data, and virtual reality can be best used to address civic issues.
Sensors at the park will monitor and analyse population data, feeding this through to a centralised control centre that will implement public service improvements. Charging docks can also be found on the street, as well as smart pop-up furniture, digital play tables, electric transportation, and smart glass.
It spans 15ha and is slated for completion in Q1 2019.
