Oman's Jusoor reports progress on two projects worth $5m
Jusoor Foundation has implemented projects including a drug rehabilitation unit and a sports centre
Oman's Jusoor Foundation has reported strong construction progress on two projects collectively worth $4.7m (OMR1.8m).
With construction work on the $4.1m (OMR1.6m) Drug Dependent Rehabilitation Center progressing as planned, Jussor said it would be completed in Q4 2018.
Once construction is done, the rehab centre will be handed over to the Ministry of Health (MoH), which will manage all of the preparations required for the opening of the centre. The project is being implemented in conjunction with Sohar Municipality and the MoH.
It will be the first rehab centre of its kind in the sultanate and has followed a public private partnership (PPP) model. Orpic, Sohar Aluminum, and Vale Oman helped fund the rehabilitation centre.
Meanwhile, construction work on the $520,000 (OMR200,000) Majees Sports Club in the village of Ghala, Muscat, is moving forwards and will be delivered in October 2018.
Orpic, Sohar Aluminum and Vale Oman helped Jusoor with the implementation of the project, which includes the construction of 14 shops.
