Radisson inks luxury hotel contract with Dubai's Damac

Set to open in Q4 2019, the Radisson Hotel at Damac Hills will feature 481 rooms, two restaurants and leisure facilities such as a gym and a kids club

Dubai's Damac Properties entered an agreement to open the Middle East's first Radisson-branded luxury hotel, within the Damac Hills development in Dubai.

According to a statement by hotelier Radisson Group, the Radisson Hotel at Damac Hills is already under construction, and is due to open in the fourth quarter of 2019.

It will feature 481 rooms, including one- and two-bedroom suites, as well as two restaurants, leisure facilities such as a gym, a spa, a kids club, and an outdoor swimming pool, and 600m² of meeting space upon completion.

Part of Dubai development Damac Hills, a new 390ha residential community in Dubailand located 15km away from the new Al Maktoum International Airport, the hotel will be surrounded by parkland, and the fairways of an 18-hole championship golf course.

Speaking on the move, executive vice president and chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group, Elie Younes, said: “Dubai continues to be remarkable in its never-ending evolution. We’re further delighted to introduce our new upscale Radisson brand that delivers its own Scandinavian-inspired hospitality to the region.”

Damac chairman, Hussain Sajwani, added: “Our partnership with Radisson Hotel Group for this unique hospitality product will cater to the ever-growing number of tourists and business travelers who visit the emirate, while making sure hotel guests receive the world-class experience that’s synonymous with the Radisson name.”

Radisson Hotel Group portfolio now features 81 hotels and more than 20,000 rooms in operation and under development across the Middle East region, the hotelier added in its statement on Wednesday.
