Arabtec subsidiary wins MEP contract for Dubai Properties homes

EFECO's contract spans a 33-month period, plus DLP, and covers the developer's Amaranta and La Quinta homes within the Villanova community

Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co (EFECO), a subsidiary of the UAE’s Arabtec Holding, has been awarded a contract to deliver mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services for Dubai Properties’ Amaranta and La Quinta homes.

The contract covers 1,388 villa, townhouse, and cluster housing units, and spans a 33-month period, in addition to defect liability period (DLP) services. In a statement, EFECO said its scheme is valued at $71m (AED260m).

Dubai Properties’ Amaranta and La Quinta are respectively part of its Villanova master development’s Phase 1 and Phase 2. Arif and Bintoak working as its consultant, and Arabtec Construction involved as main contractor.

Arabtec Construction was revealed to have won a $278m (AED1.02bn) contract to work on the development in December 2017.

EFECO has noted growth in 2018, with the firm winning a $31.8m (AED117m) MEP contract for Emaar's Creek Horizon Plot 19 in Dubai this June.
