Seventy-five per cent of the shoring works have been completed at the integrated residential project, Thanaya, by Imkan, in Abu Dhabi’s Muntazah area.

The residential development, scheduled for handover in Q4 2019, will comprise two basement car park levels, multi-use retail, and F&B space and a pharmacy on the ground level, a community clinic on the mezzanine level, and 84 spacious, apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom units across six levels.

Inspired by the traditional mashrabiya, Thanaya features bespoke rooftop amenities, including a jogging track and other outdoor recreational zones.

Walid El-Hindi, chief executive officer of Imkan, said: “We have a consistent project progress track record across our portfolio, and our strong research focus remains at the heart of everything we do, regardless of the size of a project. Our destinations stand out for their unique emphasis on people and community-building that enables us to shape the residential and commercial real estate landscape of Abu Dhabi in new and exciting ways.”

Earlier this year, Imkan appointed Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast as the main contractor, local architectural design company Unii Engineering Consultancy as the lead consultant, and global design and consultancy firm Arcadis as the cost consultant for the project.
