Parsons flying high with Kitemark award
Team achieved BSI Kitemark Certification for BIM Level 2 Design and Construction
Parsons has received BIM Level 2 Kitemark accreditation from UK-based British Standards Institution (BSI).
Parsons’ Built Environment–Infrastructure Solutions team achieved BSI Kitemark Certification for BIM Level 2 Design and Construction, certifying information management for the capital/delivery phase of construction projects using building information modelling in accordance with BS 1192:2007, PAS 1192-2:2013, BS 1192-4:2014, and the implementation of a security-minded approach specified through PAS 1192-5:2015.
“BIM is helping us to improve efficiency, which is an added benefit for Parsons as well as for our clients. The volume of information available to us allows us to make smarter decisions, improve collaboration, and control costs, which ultimately leads to successful projects,” said Gary Adams, Parsons group president.
BIM Level 2 Kitemark is the benchmark in best practice, consolidating all project and asset information, documentation, and data at the design and construction phases of a project using BIM processes.
The Kitemark, a quality mark owned and operated by BSI, is one of the most recognized symbols of quality and safety and offers true value to consumers, businesses, and procurement practices.
The new BSI Kitemark for BIM Level 2 provides the most robust measurement of an organization’s delivery of BIM projects, certifying businesses for their diligence in design and construction, asset management, supply chain management, delivery of customer service excellence, and information security.
