For the Dubai Frame, Arcadis walked away with Commercial Project of the Year at the Construction Week Awards 2018.

Combining engineering genius with design creativity, the project – iconic for the UAE and the wider Middle East region – was recognised by the jury for its structural engineering achievements and architectural finesse.

According to many judges, this project was a clear winner in a category brimming with incredible projects.

Highly commended in this category was KEO International Consultants for Kuwait Investment Authority headquarters, a project chosen for its true-to-tradition design and modern technology features. The project team was applauded for delivering a sustainable and smart project within time and budget.

The shortlist for Commercial Project of the Year at the 2018 awards included, in addition to Arcadis and KEO International Consultants, ASGC, Depa Interiors, Voltas Limited, Dubai World Trade Centre, Hoehler + alSalmy, Lom Architecture and Design, and Desimone Consulting Engineers

Each year, the Commercial Project of the Year category attracts some of the leading projects in Middle Eastern construction. This year, the Construction Week judges were asked to identify a project that has made a significant contribution to its surroundings, while demonstrating construction best practice and the effective use of technology throughout project delivery.

The independent panel of judges, comprising eight of the Middle East’s foremost construction experts, selected winners in 13 categories at the Construction Week Awards 2018.

Construction Week Awards 2018 were supported by Gold Sponsors ALEC, ASGC, Arabtec, and Al Naboodah; Silver Sponsors Future Metro, Unimix, and WME Consultants; Category Sponsors Construction Computer Software, Acrow, JLG, and Ramboll; returning Social Media Partner, WSP; Content Partner UGC Factory; and Post-Event Celebration Sponsor, Bam International.
