GHD has appointed James O’Connor as finance director for the Middle East.

O’Connor has joined the engineering, environmental and advisory services company from Gulf Related, a real estate development company based in the UAE, where he managed finances for a series of high profile construction projects in the region.

He brings with him over 15 years of experience in corporate financial analysis and management through roles in the UK and the Middle East, having previously worked for AECOM and Virgin Media.

O’Connor is an ACCA qualified accountant, with extensive experience in financial reporting, budget forecasting and risk analysis across major design and construction projects.

In his new role, he will work closely with the project management team to drive financial performance on a wide spectrum of infrastructure projects in the Middle East.
