Podcast: Top facilities management leaders in the Middle East
2018 fmME Power 50 list reveals the most powerful FM business leaders from the region
Imdaad, Bee'ah, and Emrill boast the top three facilities management (FM) leaders in the Middle East, according to a list of the 50 most powerful bosses in the industry.
Nikhil Pereira, editor of Construction Week's sister title facilities management Middle East, joins the Construction Week Viewpoint podcast as a special guest to reveal the risers and fallers in the 2018 fmME Power 50.
Imdaad's chief executive officer, Jamal Abdulla Lootah, retains the top spot for another year. The business expects its revenue to grow by 12% to $185.14m (AED680m) this year, despite challenging market conditions.
Khaled Al Huraimel and Alex Davies of Bee'ah and Emrill respectively each climbed up one position in the 2018 fmME Power 50 ranking.
Pereira said that while the industry continues to face tough competition from a variety of forces in the market, the number of new entrants on the list suggested exciting opportunities.
A renewed focus on sustainability and energy-saving initiatives announced by FM companies formed part of the decision-making process behind the Power 50 list, Pereira explained.
