Japanese firm taken on by Nakheel for monorail job

Nakheel has signed Japan-based Osaka Monorail Company to provide technical support for its US $381 million (AED1.3 billion) monorail project on the Palm Jumeirah.

Nakheel has signed Japan-based Osaka Monorail Company to provide technical support for its US $381 million (AED1.3 billion) monorail project on the Palm Jumeirah. The 5.4km-long transport system is being built by fellow Japanese firm Marubeni Corporation. The mechanical and electrical systems and vehicles are being manufactured by Japan�s Hitachi. The UK�s Mott MacDonald is the project manager.
