China State Construction Engineering Corporation picks up the honours
The main construction contract for The Gemini Tower has been awarded to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).
Omniyat Properties announced today that CSCEC will build two 20-storey commercial towers located in Dubai Business Bay.
The news follows the client’s recent handover of Bayswater and The Square.
“We are delighted to move forward with yet another milestone and partner with CSCEC for the main construction of the Gemini,” said Omniyat Properties CEO and chairman Mehdi Amjad.
“CSCEC’s proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and on budget was a key factor in our decision to award them the contract,” Amjad added.
Omniyat confirmed that the enabling work by Al Habtoor STFA Soil Group has been completed and the site has been handed over.
Planned and designed by ARCIF Local German Joint Venture, The Gemini’s two towers will be connected by a 15-storey central block, which will house freehold offices, serviced offices, retail, a ‘Car Spa’ to provide basic car services.
“We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Omniyat for The Gemini development,” said CSCEC managing director Yu Tao. “We will endeavour to maintain Omniyat’s vision and work towards the construction of a landmark project that sets the benchmark for quality in the region’s real estate industry.”
