Contractor Frayland has been awarded a package to build 57 high-end villas on Victory Heights in Dubai Sports City.

"The project in itself is a very unique endeavour, so choosing the right contractor was our main focus to ensure quality," said Yasser Abdulla, general manager, Victory Heights. "Frayland has certainly met our criteria given their record and experience with other developments of this magnitude and stature," he added.

Horst Salewski, general manager, Frayland added that the firm was proud to be part of the project, and that turning desert into a lush oasis would be a remarkable feat.

Victory Heights is set in and around an Ernie Els-designed championship golf course. Covering some 7.5 million m2, the private golf community will benefit from the sporting arenas and academies of Dubai Sports City.

"Our ambition is to extend the freedom and possibilities of life to all individuals and families - to balance active and passive, sport and culture, business and leisure, education and entertainment, tranquil open spaces and busy downtown life," said Khalid Alzarooni, president, Dubai Sports City. "We want to enable people to live life to the fullest. We firmly believe that, within Dubai Sports City, we are creating a unique lifestyle environment."

Dubai Sports City will host a combination of local, regional and international events, with a year-round calendar of live sports and cultural shows.
