The Construction Week Conference takes place on Tuesday at the Raffles Hotel Dubai.

Supported by Gulf Technical Construction Company (GTCC), the one-day event will focus on key industry trends as well as the challenges facing the region's construction sector.

Stream A will consist of panel discussions evaluating strategies for dealing with the downturn, the role tourism projects will play in the future of UAE construction, and PMV. Speakers include Grahame McCaig, general manager of Dutco Balfour Beatty, Tom Barry, CEO of Arabtec and James Pringle, executive director of development, TDIC.

Stream B focuses on MEP and FM, with Charles Lever, director of MEP at Drake and Scull and Ali Al Suwaidi, senior operations director for the Burj Dubai, among those sharing their experience.

“There is plenty of market potential out there and this is the conference where the leaders exchange ideas on how to move forward,” said event director Oscar Wendel.
