GTCC’s Moustafa Hassan has won the Construction Week Project Manager of the Year award.

For the award, the judging panel were looking for individuals who could best demonstrate decisive and effective leadership on a project.

They also bore in mind timely completion, effective cost controls and client endorsement.

Hassan picked up the award for his “outstanding” work on the Royal Amwaj Hotel project on the Palm Jumeirah.

Also shortlisted for the award was Karim Nasser of Taahud General Contracting for the Sky Gardens tower project in Masdar City, and Peter Leithner of Alec for Mirdif City Centre.
