Masar to ‘print off’ expansion

Dubai Holding's printing subsidiary, Masar Printing Press, is currently undergoing a US $44 million (AED160 million) expansion plan, which includes incorporating new systems and machinery.

Dubai Holding's printing subsidiary, Masar Printing Press, is currently undergoing a US $44 million (AED160 million) expansion plan, which includes incorporating new systems and machinery.

The project is located in Dubai's International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) and will be spread over an area of about 34,000m2.

It consists of the main press building as part of phase one, in addition to five other buildings, including the administration building, which will be included in phase two.

The consultant on the project is Access Engineering Consultant and the project manager is Dubai Properties.

Profiles RH is the main contractor on phase one, which is expected to be completed within five months, while phases two and three will be ready in 10 months.

The contract for phase three is still under negotiation, but according to the company it will also be awarded to Profiles RH.
