Megaman, the designer, manufacturer and distributor of innovative, eco-friendly lamps, has unveiled new energy-saving products at Light + Build, the architecture and technology fair currently underway in Frankfurt.

The company has launched a breakthrough series of MR16-compatible LED reflector lamps that promise to lower heat consumption and heat output, while still guaranteeing excellent performance. The Megaman LED MR16 Reflector is compact, with a GU5.3-compatible lamp cap and a beam angle of 36 degrees that delivers a high quality, narrow spotlighting effect.

Employing the patented Thermal Conductive Highway technology, the Megaman LED MR16 Reflector is optimised for a lifetime of 30,000 hours which, in turn, lowers maintenance costs. Available in 8W and 10W to replace 35W and 50W halogen lamps respectively, these LED reflectors can achieve energy savings of 80% over their halogen equivalents.

Representing another significant advancement in LED technology, the company has also launched its LED Candle Series, which is designed to bring out the aesthetic appeal of chandeliers and crystal fixtures.

Created to replace incandescent candles, the LED Candle can produce a point light source where the light-emitting position is similar to that of the filament in an incandescent candle. The Megaman LED Candle in 5W delivers a 180 lumen light output.

With a unique ‘heat sink’ design for heat dissipation, the lamp enjoys a lamp life of 30,000 hours, 30 times longer than an incandescent candle, and releases much less heat in operation, while also saving 80% power over incandescents.

The series is available in different glass cover finishings, including a twisted glass, smooth glass and twisted golden cover to cater to a wide array of applications.
