New seating solutions from Teknion
Teknion partners with Girsberger to offer new seating options
Teknion Corporation has launched the new Connexion task chair and complementary guest chair.
Designed by Swiss furniture manufacturer, Girsberger, Connexion features an innovative slat-and-spring backrest, which automatically conforms to the contours of the user’s back. It is suitable for the office, open work area or conference room.
“Connexion is an innovative task chair in which form and function merge,” said Kees Breeuwsma, vice president of seating, Teknion. “Connexion features a backrest with pioneering design. It comprises a central structure of flexible slats connected on each side by springs, allowing it to react and adapt itself to users’ back shapes and movements.
“Providing relief, precise fit and dynamic support without manual adjustment, the unique slat-and-spring configuration becomes part of the chair’s aesthetic, revealed by the transparency of the backrest textile. Connexion delivers ideal function enhanced by a sleek, appealing profile.”
Connexion is available upholstered in Teknion’s offering of standard and graded-in seating fabrics, COM and COL. Frame options include Ebony and Polished Chrome, and the backrest is available in transparent mesh, or upholstered in fabric or leather.
Connexion meets the most stringent Greenguard Certification for Children and Schools Indoor Air Quality. The task chair is 92% recyclable and the guest chair is 82.7% recyclable.
Teknion has also launched the Girsberger-designed Topic swivel conference chair. “Topic has a modern yet timeless style that makes it a perfect fit for today’s boardrooms and conference rooms, or as a visitor chair,” said Breeuwsma.
“With a relatively slender shell, Topic is extremely comfortable, thanks to its gently contoured backrest and strong, luxurious seating upholstery.”
The chair provides shock-absorbing suspension for a high level of comfort and support, and offers the option of full 360-degree swivel or swivel-return. It also features a four-prong base.
